Description
"Roberta Cooper Ramo, president-elect of the American Bar Association (ABA), [delivered] the commencement address to graduates from the CWRU School of Law during formal May 14 excercises. The ceremony [began] at 2:30 p.m. in Severance Hall.
Ramo [was] a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a partner in that city's firm of Modrall, Sperling, Roehl & Sisk. In August [1995], she [became] the first woman to head ABA, the world's largest organization of attorneys. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Colorado, Ramo earned her law degree from University of Chicago."
